1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using GameShelf, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Service Provider

GameShelf is operated by an individual developer under the pseudonym wolfort, based in Poland.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use GameShelf. If you are under the age required in your jurisdiction to independently consent to online services, you may use GameShelf only with appropriate parent or legal guardian permission.

4. Accounts and Security

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activities under your account unless caused by unauthorized access beyond your control.
• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it reasonably up to date.
• We may require email verification and additional security checks to protect the service.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes.
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Interfere with service availability, integrity, or security.
• Upload or post content that is abusive, defamatory, fraudulent, or infringes intellectual property rights.

You retain ownership of content you submit (such as reviews, notes, ratings, and profile text). By posting content in GameShelf, you grant GameShelf a non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and process that content solely for operating and improving the service.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate law or third-party rights.

7. Social Features and Visibility

GameShelf includes social features such as profiles, follows, and activity feeds. Some information may be visible to other users based on product behavior and privacy settings. Use account settings to manage available visibility controls.

8. Moderation and Enforcement

We may investigate misuse and take proportionate action, including content removal, feature restrictions, suspension, or account termination, to protect users and platform integrity.

9. Third-Party Services and Data Sources

GameShelf may rely on third-party services (for example captcha, analytics, email delivery, and game metadata providers). Their service availability and policies may affect related parts of GameShelf.

Game metadata in GameShelf may be sourced from IGDB.com and used subject to the Twitch Developer Services Agreement.

10. Service Availability

We aim to keep GameShelf available and reliable, but the service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or always-on access.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GameShelf disclaims implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, GameShelf is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

13. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using GameShelf at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if needed for security, legal compliance, or operational protection of the platform.

14. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the service and these Terms over time. If changes are material, we will publish updated Terms and revise the "Last updated" date. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of Poland and relevant mandatory EU consumer and data protection law. Jurisdiction and consumer rights apply as required by mandatory law.
